Having compact tools at the ready is always important on an expedition where you do not have the luxury of a tool set. The ‘Leatherman Wave’ is the most lightweight of their range with pliers, locking knives, and a series of tools such as screw drivers, scissors, and can opener. So far an indispensible tool and the envy of all the herders, and other locals along the way that live on the land. The pliers are tough, the unit is light, and the knives and other tools have proved very useful. Only problem with this small model is that there is no measuring scale on the unit, and there are no locks on t6he screw driver etc. In any case definitely recommended- especially if the other option is a cheap immitation.
