Travel Wear

list image: travel wear

When preparing for a trip like this it is easy to forget about every day travel clothes that have to put up with everything from city-wear to the midst of adventure. Shirts, trousers, and jackets have to be tough, quick-drying, comfortable, functional and look good (especially when you have to front bureaucracy on a regular basis for visas and you never know what criteria they will judge you by!). ‘Cross’ outdoor wear is simple and extremely light in design and yet strong. It does not lose its form after a wash, the pockets are practical, and it is just as suitable for city living as it is for the campsite. There should be more gear like this available because it is a lot more useful than some of the ‘high tech’ apparel on the market that in practice is useless much of the time. I am taking a variety of Cross shirts, pants, and even a waterproof/breathable jacket. Thanks to Reflex sports (the Australian distributor of ‘Cross’) for this great gear. For all those interested, Cross also specializes in ski-wear, and general four-season clothing as well. It can be found nationally at all good stores.
